He was predeceased by: his parents, Hobert Sowers and Bertha Hutson Sowers; and his siblings, Pete, Kenny, Jim, Randy, Bill and Betty.
He is survived by: his wife Wanda Tipsword; his children, Steve Sowers (Melody) of Bethany and Nancy Mueller (Gene) of Bethany; and his sister Pat Hayden-Titus of Greenup. He is also survived by six grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter.
