He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Charles and Bernice; his sister Dorothy; his daughter Carol; his wife Mary Tojek (Terry); his daughters, Constance Christian of Shabbona, Mary Barker (William) of Shabbona and Charlotte Jensen (Thomas) of Oswego; his grandchildren, Johnathan Christian of Somerville, Jennifer Barker of DeKalb, Jessica Barker of DeKalb, Jacobe Christian of Shabbona, Tessa Barker of Shabbona and Chance Barker of Shabbona; and his great grandchild Leona. He was also cherished by many Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.
