It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles A Merris of Bethany, Illinois, born in Decatur, Illinois, who passed away on April 1, 2021, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert "Bob" and Rebecca Merris (Danner); and his sister Sally Todd. He is survived by: his wife Nina M. Lanter of Bethany, IL; his sons, Charles "Chuck" Merris (Sandy) of Mt. Zion, Chris Merris (Tania) of Decatur and Eric Merris (Coartney) of Decatur; and his sisters, Maryann Coleman (David) of Decatur and Sandra File of Decatur. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
