He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Sims and Iva Sims (Brown); and his sister Sue Scheer. He is survived by: his wife Jacque; his children, Sheri Frazier (Greg) of Maryville, Steve Sims of Bethalto and Peter Sims of Charlotte, NC; his brother-in-law Mike Scheer; and his grandchildren, Jake Sims, Ella Sims, Michael Frazier (Rachel), Ryan Frazier (Katie) and Jaime Armstrong. He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Homes (727 E Bethalto Blvd, Bethalto, IL 62010). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church (132 Butcher St, Bethalto, IL 62010).
