She was predeceased by: her sister Deborah Crew; and her grandparents, James, Ruby Hunter, Roshia and Robert Pickering.
She is survived by: her parent James Robert; her husband Derek Petcu of Ferguson, Missouri; her parent Thelma Hunter; her children, Jennifer Stirlen of Raleigh and Alex Stirlen of Charleston, Missouri; her siblings, Katherine Clifton (Scott) of Naperville, Illinois and Robert W. Hunter (Jennifer) of River Falls, Wisconsin; her father-in-law Virgil Petcu; and her close friend Donna McCollum. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
