It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lyndel Ray Matthews (Bethalto, Illinois), born in Blodgett, Missouri, who passed away on February 18, 2020, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmo Matthews and Mary Matthews (Stagner); and his grandson Jonah Matthews. He is survived by: his wife Gloria; and his children, Mary Matthews of Alton, David Matthews (Debra) of Waterloo, Susan Scott (Gary) of Jerseyville and Sara Campbell (Clint) of Mason, OH. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; and 13 great-granchildren.
