He was predeceased by: his parents, James Edward and Frieda Simmons (Surrett); and his brother Richard Simmons. He is survived by: his wife Sue Moore; his children, David Simmons (Muriel) of Blanco, TX, Dawn Moffatt (Todd) of Loveland, CO, Missy Epps of Wood River, IL and Tony Simmons (Paula) of Edwardsville, IL; his grandchildren, Kyle Moffatt (Emily) of New York, NY, Matt Moffatt (Sarah) of Lakewood, CO, Blaine Epps (Emily) of Bethalto, IL, Elise Simmons of Edwardsville, IL and Savannah Simmons of Edwardsville, IL; his great grandchildren, Sebastian, Noah, Isabelle and Benjamin; his brother Bob Simmons (Brenda); his niece Theresa Simmons (Kirk); and his nephew Tim Simmons.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 27th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Monday, April 28th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Bethalto Church of God (800 E Bethalto Blvd, Bethalto, IL 62010). A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
