He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Hammond and Lois Ann Hammond (Walls); and his brothers, Gary and Michael Hammond. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Richards; his children, Cory Hammond (Elisabeth) of Phoenix, AZ, Corissa Hammond (Brad Papa) of Bethalto, Chad Hammond (Ann Bieller) of Wood River, Luke Richards (Stephanie Milentz) of Granite City and Laura Richards of Wood River; his siblings, Audrey Hammond of Missouri, Mark Hammond (Shelia) of Edwardsville, Stephen Hammond (Jeris) of Missouri and Billy Hammond (Ronda) of Grafton; his grandchildren, Gracie, Macie, Ivan, Jacob, Reyna, Judah, Mikah, Jocelynn "Baby J" and Hudson; and his friends, Gary Richard and Donny Kelsay.
