She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Ghilliam and Louise Borst (Lawson); her children-in-law, Cheryl Nolte and Robert "Bob" Roper; and her brother-in-law Buford Smith.

She is survived by: her children, John Nolte (Sharon) of Bethalto, Eric Nolte of East Alton, Jason Nolte of Bethalto and Martha Roper of Florida; and her sister Martha Marie Smith of Franklin, NC..
