We bid farewell to Emma Eileen Hargrave of Bethalto, Illinois, born in Alton, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 31, 2024 at the age of 92. Emma Eileen touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Charles and Emma C. G. Johnson (Allsman); her husband Charles Alfred Hargrave; her brother Virgil Johnson; and her grandson Jeff Downer.
She is survived by: her children, Linda L. Downer (Larry), Jan S. Hall (Ed) and Brad D. Hargrave (Susan); and her grandchildren, Joe Downer, Nichole Schoebernd (Josh), Jason Hall (Karmin), Jason Hargrave (Janelle), Adam Hargrave (Danyelle), Samantha Dietzel (Jim), Nicholas Tripp (Ashley) and Matthew Tripp (Stephanie). She is also survived by eighteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Homes - Bethalto (727 E Bethalto Blvd, Bethalto, IL 62010). A graveside service was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
