He was predeceased by: his wife Ruth R. Acosta; his son Paul Acosta; and his siblings, Cruz Acosta and Jose Acosta. He is survived by: his children, Marguerite Soto (Adelmo), Christine Muro, Richard Acosta (late Diana), Catherine Chavez, Caroline Garcia (Mario), Cynthia Torres and Pauline Acosta (Humberto Murillo).
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kuratko-Nosek Funeral Home and Cremation Services (2447 Desplaines Ave, North Riverside, IL 60546). A prayer was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM at the same location. A Mass was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Leonard's Catholic Church (3318 Clarence Ave, Berwyn, IL 60402). A burial was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 11:45 AM at the Queen of Heaven Cemetery (1400 S Wolf Rd, Hillside, IL 60162).
