She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, William Carberry and Helen Carberry (Nowicki); her husband Michael Houser; her children, Kirstin Edelstein (Jan) and Steven Houser (Gladys); her grandchildren, Gwendolyn and Lauren Edelstein; and her pet Charlie.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Adams-Winterfield & Sullivan Funeral Home & Cremation Services (4343 Main St, Downers Grove, IL 60515). A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Leonard Catholic Church (3318 Clarence Ave, Berwyn, IL 60402).
