She was predeceased by: her husband Glenn A. Nelson; her parents, Edwin Lange and Annette Lange; her stepmother Emelia Lange (Eisenbraun); her brother Donald; and her siblings-in-law, Marilyn Lange, Shirley (Nelson) and James Fullerton.

She is survived by: her children, Susan Postal (Gordon), Paul Nelson (Catherine) and Phillip Nelson (Patricia); her grandchildren, Glenn Nelson (Michelle), Daniel Nelson and Nicole Johnson (Thomas); her great grandchildren, Makayla, Juliana, Grayson and Joseph Nelson; her siblings-in-law, Phillip and Paulette Nelson; and also Reverend Doctor Carol Lange.
