He is survived by: his wife Arabella; his children, Regena Nelson (Eric), Cardell Fails and Cedrica Fails; his grandchildren, Matthew Nelson, Amanda Nelson, Bella Macklin and Cardell Fails, Jr.; his siblings, Margaret Cleveland, Johnny, Dorothy Hartway (Rufus), David, Redmond Fails (Maddie), Nellie Grayson (Junior) and Tommy Fails (Mary); and his godson Howard Harris. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
