She was predeceased by: her parent Bertis Diefenbach; her husband Richard McCarty; and her father-in-law James "Ike" McCarty. She is survived by: her mother Joyce Arliene Diefenbach (Barger) of Benton, IL; her daughters, Wendy Neal (Thomas J.) of Whittington, IL, Heather McCarty-Smith (David Chad Smith) of Dexter, MO and Melinda Shaw (McCarty) of Energy, IL; her grandsons, Andrew Neal of Benton, IL, Noah Shaw of Goodlettsville, TN, Isaiah Shaw of Benton, IL and Luke Shaw of Whittington, IL; her brother Tony Diefenbach (Anita) of Macedonia, IL; her mother-in-law Marjorie McCarty of Logan, IL; and her sister-in-law Holly McCord (David) of West Frankfort, IL. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
