It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Hutchens (Benton, Illinois), born in De Valls Bluff, Arkansas, who passed away on February 17, 2020, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Hutchens and Alice Hutchens (Moss); his daughter Sherry Slayton; and his siblings, Ethel Gunter, Gene Hutchins and Raymond Hutchens.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Hutchens of Benton; his brother Kenneth Hutchens (Betty) of Benton; his grandchildren, Lori A. Baum of Murphysboro, IL, Robert Scott Slayton (Pam) of Beckemeyer, IL and Mary E. Johnson (Adrian) of Belleville, IL; his great grandchildren, Joshua Baum, Heather Baum, Kaitlyn O'Quinn (John), Cole Johnson (Veronica), Jack Johnson and Emma Johnson; his great great grandchildren, MyKayla Baum, Macie Baum, Tenley Baum, Michelena and Aubreen O'Quinn; and his sister-in-law Dora Hutchins of Benton.
Memorial contributions may be made to Fires of Revival Chapel of Benton and will be accepted at the funeral home.
