Richard Mark Weisel Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard Mark Weisel of Benton, Illinois, born in Du Quoin, Illinois, who passed away on June 11, 2023 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Clarence and Ruby Marie Weisel (Knapp); and his siblings, Ruby Lee Newton and Randy Merle Weisel. He is survived by: his wife Arlene Winemiller; his children, Jason Lee Weisel of Avon, IN, Richard Matthew Weisel of West Frankfort and Alexis Rose Weisel (Anthony Leon) of West Frankfort; his grandchildren, Donovan, Tanner Weisel and Kaylie Madison Weisel; his sisters, Rose Etta Knapp (Jack) of Tamaroa, Ruth Ann Keller (Gene) of Neosho, MO and Reta Miller (Steve) of Pinckneyville; his brother-in-law Donald Winemiller of Benton; his niece Tracy Bruns; and also Ashley Campbell. He is also survived by his children rather than nieces and nephew.

In lieu of flowers, memorials and contributions may be made to Remnant Bible Church Restoration Fund and will be accepted at the funeral home.
