It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Lou Atwood of Benton, Illinois, who passed away on November 7, 2020, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Lavern and Ruth Jane Beatty (Knight); her husband Alva Dean Atwood; her daughter Rebecca Lynn Atwood; and her grandchild Lavender Atwood.
She is survived by: her daughter Karen Jane Atwood-McDaniel (Jerome McDaniel); her grandchildren, Tyler, Dylan, Shawna, Dakotah, Alizay, Tanner and Nico Atwood; her great grandchildren, Zayden Atwood, Zariah Lee, Zaelynn Lee, Tristen Atwood, Elijah Atwood and Isabella Atwood; and her sisters, Phyllis McMahon of Benton and Sue Risley of Sesser. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
