John R. Graskewicz Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John R. Graskewicz (Benton, Illinois), who passed away on February 17, 2025 at the age of 75. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of John R. Graskewicz to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Adam Graskewicz and Aleen Graskewicz (Fleming); his brother Jimmy Graskewicz; his nephew Jerry Jones; his brothers-in-law, Larry Jones and Fred Kobel; his parents-in-law, Rev. Kenneth and Dorothy Fitch; and his siblings-in-law, Cord and Stacey Fitch.

He is survived by: his wife Rita Graskewicz (Fitch) of Thompsonville, IL; his son Jonathan Graskewicz (Jill) of West Frankfort, IL; his grandchildren, Lexi, Logan (Josh), Abigayle (Chris), Kameran, Breanna and Jackson; his great grandchildren, Lydia and Ellie; his siblings, Don Graskewicz (Georgianne) of West Frankfort, IL, Sue Jones of Tolono, IL and Jesse Kobel of West Frankfort, IL; his niece Wendy Becker (Vince) of Troy, IL; and his sister Cyndi Louden (Travis) of Middleburg, FL. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and many great-nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Leffler Funeral Home (401 E Main St, Benton, IL 62812). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
