He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Joseph Ballard and Ruth Allie Ballard (Hood); and his siblings, Jerry Ballard, Ernie Ballard and Linda.
He is survived by: his wife Lea Ballard of Benton, IL; his children, Steven Ballard of Mt. Vernon, IL and Jody Carter; and his grandchildren, Victoria, Shara, Austin, Makaila, Jordan, Hanna and Sith.
The family prefers memorial contributions be made to the Christopher American Legion Post #0528; and will be accepted at the funeral home.
