It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Yancik of Benton, Illinois, born in Litchfield, Illinois, who passed away on March 13, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph John Yancik and Anna Lorraine Yancik (Gubach); and his grandson Ryan Yancik. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Ramseier; his children, Michele Lampley (William) of Benton, Kent Yancik (Darlene) of Tempe, Susan Falkner (Ron) of Simsbury and Brad Yancik (Karla) of Mulkeytown, Illinois; his grandchildren, James Lampley of Benton, Mark Lampley of Marion, Justin Yancik of Tempe, Andrew Yancik of Tempe Arizona, Jack Falkner of New York City and Jennifer Falkner of Washington, DC; and his sister Linda Erdely of South Bend, Indiana.
The family prefers in lieu of flowers that. Memorial contributions may be made to the Benton Ministerial Alliance Food Pantry; and will be accepted at the services on Monday or may be mailed in care of Leffler Funeral Home, 401 East Main Street, Benton, Illinois 62812.
