With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Byron Gale Beard of Benton, Illinois, born in Whittington, Illinois, who passed away on December 27, 2021 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Gale G. Beard and Leota Beard (Johnston); and his daughter Tammy Beard. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Ann Beard (Adams); his daughter Kathy (Rob Hutchens) of Ewing; his grandsons, Wade Martin Hutchens and Cole Robert Hutchens; and his sister Debby (Mark Stirneman) of Benton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be given to the Ina Free Will Baptist Church and will be accepted at the funeral home.
