Aubrey F Biggs Jr. Obituary
Sadly, on March 27, 2023 lost his battle with Agent Orange in the presence of his family. He was currently living in Benton Il. He paid the ultimate price with his life for our freedom and country.
Aubrey was born on May 5, 1952 in Waukegan IL, the son of Aubrey Sr. and Ann Biggs. He served in the Army in the Vietnam War where he was 101st Airborne and 1st Calvary, he had the honor of helping win their Colors back. After the war ended he became highly decorated over 4 times for Heroism. Also, being a member of First Baptist Church of Benton IL where Aubrey and his granddaughter Krisley were baptized together. Aubrey was an active Mason and Honorable Shriner for many years. His employment was as a sheet metal worker as well as Vice President of Great Lake's Union before retiring in 2005. Aubrey loved his family, building classic cars and going to car shows.
Aubrey was very blessed to have the love of his life Linda Allen for just over 20 years before her passing. He was a loving father to his 3 children, David Robinson of Michigan, Jenni (Chris) Langston of Illinois, and Mandi (Steve) Perscke of Texas. He was an awesome Papa to 10 grandchildren, Stephanie, Ashley, Ryan, Mike, Jacob, Krisley, Saddee, Bryan, Mason and Blyke. Before Aubrey's life was cut short leaving his parents to grieve Aubrey Sr. and Beverly Biggs of Illinois, sisters, BJ Erickson and Rose of Michigan and brother Eddy of Texas. Aubrey's blessing didn't stop at that - God gave him 8 great-grandchildren with lots of family and friends left with a piece of their heart missing, left with sadness by the loss of Aubrey.
He was preceded in death by Linda Allen, daughter Julie, sons Aubrey and Thomas Biggs, Aunt Rose Yarc, Grandma Gavin and sadly many more family and friends.
Visitation will take place Saturday, April 8, 2023 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, Illinois. Funeral service will take place at 11:00am followed by interment at Highland Memorial Park.
