With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Virgene Sandra Murphy of Benson, Illinois, who passed away on March 19, 2024 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Virgil Peterson and Roberta Peterson (Patterson); and her husband Robert L. Murphy. She is survived by: her children, Paul Murphy of Benson, IL, Michael Murphy (Alice) of Benson, IL and Kelly Romine (Dale) of East Peoria, IL; her brother Richard Peterson (Norma) of Benson, IL; and her grandchildren, Joseph, Kaylyn and Lucas Murphy (Kaylee).
Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church in Benson, or to Benson Ambulance.
