She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Smith and Lucille Smith (O'Brien); and her brothers, Harold, Donald, Raymond and Robert Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Philip Peterson of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, James Peterson of Benson, IL and Natalie Souders (Jeffrey) of St. Jacob, IL; her grandchildren, Brandon S. Peterson (Barbara) and Katrina Gessi (Brian); her great grandchild Brandon W. Peterson; and her sister Mary Missel of Sarasota, FL. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Paul Lutheran Church - Benson (502 Pleasant St, Benson, IL 61516). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 11:15 AM to 11:15 AM at the Clayton Township Cemetery (2158 IL-116, Benson, IL 61516).
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
