He was predeceased by: his parents, Anton Wirtz and Vilma Wirtz (Zelko); and his wife Barbara Wirtz (McCormick). He is survived by: his sons, Robert Wirtz Jr. and Brent Wirtz (Evangelia); and his granddaughter Alexandra Wirtz.

In lieu of flowers donations (Tribute Gift) may be made in Robert's name to Parkinson's Foundation.
