He was predeceased by: his parents, George Albert Dobry and Rose Castanzo; his stepfather John Lund; and his son Mark Solorio. He is survived by: his wife Jennie Dobry; his children, James Solorio and Kathleen Dobry Knighton; and his siblings, Rosemary Vanderbausch, Betty McDermott and George Albert Dobry. He is also survived by uncle to his many nieces and nephews.
