She was predeceased by: her parents, James Purl (Elmer) and Josephine Purl (Ella); her husband Robert Eugene Stepp (Gene); her son Earnest Kohl; and her siblings, Alvin Purl, Ralph Purl, Eldon Purl (Ed), Beaulah Ingram, Betty Enerson, Bonnie Harvey and Velma Whitehead.
She is survived by: her children, Edward Kohl (Joann Brown) and Lawanda Tongate; her siblings, Jerry Purl (Vicky) and Kathryn Rockwell (Roger); her grandchildren, Tina Bedell (Chris), Christopher Kline (Jen), Jennifer Schrader (Jon Ames), Tia Kohl (Kevin), Amber Kohl, Seth Kohl (Sierra) and Shane Kohl; her great grandchildren, Darian, CJ, Casey, Maddie, Kate, Katelynn, Nathan, Matthew and Kaiden; and her great great grandchildren, Brianna and Willow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Boone County Council on Aging.
