She was predeceased by: her parents, Oliver Johnson and Nellie Johnson (Loveridge); her husband Donald Carlson; her brother Boyd Johnson; and her sister-in-law Marilyn Johnson.
She is survived by: her children, Susan Sterling (Greg Hanson), Melinda Rubert (Larry) and Jeff Carlson (Karen); her grandchildren, Brett Rubert (Mandy Madriaga), Katy Small (Marty), Hollie Nelson (Andrew), Jayme Carlson (Dakota Morris), Bethany Greenhow (Dustin), Jack Carlson and Eric Hanson; and her great grandchildren, Samantha Small, Charlie Nelson, Axel Greenhow, Dale Small and Addison Rubert.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family to be established in Viva's name.
