It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Verna S. Heimlich of Belvidere, Illinois, born in Sisseton, South Dakota, who passed away on June 11, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Svalstad and Helen Svalstad (Lohre); her husband James Joseph Heimlich; her former husband William Foss; her sister Joyce Gebhardt; and her aunt Sophie Lohre.
She is survived by: her children, Sophia Ritchey (Brian), James Heimlich and Marjorie Auman (Tim); her grandchildren, Zach, Dominic Ritchey, Jake, Brooke Heimlich, Justus and Morgan Auman; and her siblings, Marjorie Krueger, Duane Svalstad (Judy), Darrell Svalstad (Judy) and Dennis Svalstad. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Verna's name to the American Kidney Fund.
