He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Aves and Hazel McKiski Aves; his close friend Judith Fisk; his sister Marlene Meyers; and his brother-in-law Don Kaalaas.
He is survived by: his sons, Kevin Aves (Julie) and Todd Aves (Brenda); his sister Audrey Kaalaas; his grandchildren, Kyle Aves, Stephanie Schroeder (Patrick), Allyson, Hayden, Madelyn and Brysen Aves; his close friend Marlene Hale; and his brother-in-law Lyon Myers. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Donations to the family to establish a memorial to the Boone County Fair Dairy Department in his honor.
