He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Gorka and Anna Gorka; and his siblings, Jerry Panick and Rita Bobber. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Panick; his children, Brian Panick (Mary), Joseph Fagan (Jennifer), Robert Fagan, Linda Marth (Ted), Cindy Sprowls (Paul), Joan Gotfryd (Mike) and Michelle Magrini (Marc); his grandchildren, Eric, TJ, Ashley, Elyse, Matthew, Madison, Bella, Brett, Jack, Ryan and Nate; and his brother George Panick (Karyn).

A memorial fund has been established in the family's name.
