Peter Daniel Cowen Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Peter Daniel Cowen of Belvidere, Illinois, who passed away on January 8, 2025 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Theodore Cowen,; his brother Larry Cowen; his siblings-in-law, Roger Hosfeld and Lynn Cowen; and his nephew Drew Cowen.
He is survived by: his wife Chris; his mother Laurie Cowen; his siblings, Ted Cowen III, Marsha Hosfeld, Tony Cowen (Julie) and Martin Cowen (Traci); and his pets, Pip and Perry. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Belvidere Funeral Home & Cremation Service (203 Logan Ave, Belvidere, IL 61008). A celebration of life was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Boone County Animal Shelter.
