He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicholas Joseph and Catherine Elizabeth Hengels (Frey); his wife Marillyn; and his children, Robert Hengels (Donna) and Rhonda Hengels.
He is survived by: his children, Raymond Hengels (Linda), Russell Hengels (Barbara), Richard Hengels (Janet), Roberta Hengels, Ramona Pryor (Lanyon), Rosemarie Hengels (Stephen Chinn) and Ranay Ivan (Bob). He is also survived by 24 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
