He was predeceased by: his parents, William A. Wolf and Sara Wolf (Tyson); his brother Thomas Wolf; and his nephew David Wolf. He is survived by: his significant other Joyce Manning; his children, Mitchell J. Wolf of Belvidere, Matthew J. Wolf (Jody) of Rockford and Mary A. Wolf of Chicago; his grandson Brayden Petrie; his siblings, John Wolf (Candy) of Belvidere, Callie Marrs (Jim) of Garden Prairie and Christopher (Norm White) of Massachusetts; his uncle Jack; and his aunt Peggy Wolf. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
