It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Richard Klinger of Belvidere, Illinois, who passed away on January 19, 2021, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harm A. Klinger III and Christina E. Klinger (Samuelson); his stepfather Oliver Piefer; his brother Harm; and his brother-in-law Terry Plowman.
He is survived by: his former wife Carolyn Swank; his spouse Karan (Olson); his sister Grace (Terry Plowman); his stepsisters, Betty, Rose, Darlene and Lois; his children, Steve (Lynn Woodbridge), Stacy (Keith Dollahite) and Julie; his grandchildren, Corey, Erin, Sean, Meghan, Ryan, Natalie and Robbie; his stepchildren, Jeff Olson (Tina), Dennis Olson, Connie Wysocki (Mike), Linda Bishop (David) and Darrell Olson; his stepgrandchildren, Zack, Aiden, Isaac and Jessica; his niece Michele (Shane Richter); and his nephew Marc Plowman.
