With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James L. Margis of Belvidere, Illinois, born in Rockford, Illinois, who passed away on January 6, 2021 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Margis and Selma Margis (Kelly); his wife Mary Jane Nowak; and his sister Bernice Power. He is survived by: his children, David Margis (Diana), Cindy Hodges (Brian) and Sandy Fleming (Todd); his grandchildren, Angie, Melany Margis, Ashely, Annette Hodges, Bailey and Allison Fleming; and his siblings-in-law, Evelyn Nowak and Joe Nowak (JoAnn).

Memorials in lieu of flowers may be given in care of Meals on Wheels.
