James H. Voorhies Obituary

We are sad to announce that on June 9, 2023, at the age of 91, James H. Voorhies of Belvidere, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Stella Voorhies (Holiday) and Hugh Voorhies; his wife Barbara Marvin; his son Michael Voorhies; and his siblings, Hugh Voorhies, Jeannetta Totz, Jack Voorhies, Genevieve Ellingson, Shirley Rubert, Ann Swanson, Robert Voorhies, Judy Fisk and Joyce Queen.

He is survived by: his son Chuck Voorhies (Deborah); his sisters, Mary Lou Voorhies and Donna Knox; his grandchildren, Barbie Voorhies and Jayne Voorhies (Robert); and his sisters-in-law, Viola Voorhies, Judy Huge (Ralph), Jill Marvin and Jane Marvin. He is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
