It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Giovanna Armato of Belvidere, Illinois, who passed away on May 22, 2024, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Salvatore Sciame and Anna Sciame; her husband Antonino; and her son Bino Armato. She is survived by : her daughter Maria; her son-in-law John Frisella; her grandchildren, Joe Frisella, Tarina Frisella, Tonino Armato, Nadia Frisella (Nick Opengo) and Giovanna Armato; her great grandchild Giovanni Frisella; her daughter-in-law Enza Armato; and her brothers, Giuseppe Sciame and Lillo Sciame.
