He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Eklund and Frances Eklund (Nelson); and his sister Dorrie Hodge. He is survived by: his wife Monica Eklund; his children, Chad Eklund and Keri Allen; his grandchildren, Alyssa, Jonathan, Wyatt, Jesse, Georgia and Isaac; his stepdaughter Leta Gordon (Ronn); his stepgrandson John; his stepchild Sherese Fewell; and his sisters, Sandy Hulstedt (Wes) and Marsha Pundt (Jeff).
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Faith Baptist Church (1637 7th Ave, Belvidere, IL 61008). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
