It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carrol Verken of Belvidere, Illinois, who passed away on December 27, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Abner Verken and Grace Verken (Zimmernann); his son William "Bill" Carrol Verken; and his siblings, Eunice Molstad, Erwin Verken, Arthur Verken and Stanley Verken.
He is survived by: his child Kim; his wife Mary; and his daughters, Kimberley Zierke (Mark), Katherine Holloway (Brent) and Betsy Albright (Dale). He is also survived by eight grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren.
