It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Barbara M. Eichler of Belvidere, Illinois, who passed away on April 10, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Vern Gates and Ruth Gates (Maier); her husband Donald H. Eichler; her son D. Charles Eichler; and her siblings, Vernon, Lloyd, Bill Gates, Janice Hoeft and Judy Lawrence.
She is survived by: her daughters, Iona "Onie" Drewelow (Jeff), Anne Eichler, Eileen McDavid (George), Carol Rich (Gary) and Charol McClenthen (Kevin Bohn); her sister Della Evans of Beloit, WI; and her brother-in-law Kenneth Lawrence of Arkansas. She is also survived by her 12 grandchildren, many great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations in memory of Barbara can be made to Charol McClenthen for Faith United Methodist Church and United Hospice.
