He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Derek Jr. (Stephanie), Danielle, Patrick, Daffney, Alyssa (Willie), Derris and Diana; his grandchildren, Aniyah, Elijah, Lauren, Logan, London, Azriel, Aiden, Nivea, Parker and Kario; and his siblings, Theresa, Marnette (Pete), Otis (Melissa) and Johnnie. He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
