With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Virginia D. Murphy of Belleville, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 17, 2025 at the age of 95. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Skinker and Vera Morris (Schneider); her former husband Robert V. Murphy; and her sister Gladys Tate. She is survived by: her children, Robert A. Murphy of Chicago, IL and Cynthia Murphy of Edmonton, AB; her grandchildren, Zoe Nedelec (Sheldon) of Vancouver Island, BC, Caleb Grey (Sarah) of Edmonton, AB, Aaron Grey (Claire) of Calgary, AB and Melanie Grey (Simon Debruin) of Whitehorse, Yukon; and her great grandchildren, Ethan, Anya, Winter, Lucia, Reina, Anika, Kaiya, Larissa, Cora, Stella, Savannah, Isaac, Elijah and Alexander.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Valhalla Gardner Holten Funeral Home (3412 Frank Scott Pkwy W, Belleville, IL 62223).
