He was predeceased by: his mother Nelda. He is survived by: his wife Diana Schmittling; his stepdaughter Sierra Wood; his father Wayne Schmittling, Sr.; his siblings, Wayne Schmittling, Jr. and Elizabeth Suchman (Randy); and his nieces and nephews, Jeremy Schmittling (Lora), Sarah Schmittling, Ashley Dabler (Greg), Brandon Suchman (Kelly), Ross Suchman (Krissy), Alaina Suchman and Lydia Beishir (Cody).

Visitation was held on Sunday, December 29th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, December 30th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the George Renner & Sons Funeral Home (120 N Illinois St, Belleville, IL 62220).
