With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sonja Yvonne Harris of Belleville, Illinois, born in Dowell, Illinois, who passed away on July 5, 2024 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Maksin and Maxine Maksin; and her husband Arthur LeRoy Harris. She is survived by: her sons, Kevin Harris (Tracy) of Cookeville, TN., Michael Harris (Madonna) of Smithton, IL. and Todd Harris (Christina) of Belleville, IL.; her grandchildren, Amber Hardy (Keith), Aubrey Thessing (Ryan), Jacob Harris and Aislinn Harris; her great grandchildren, Kaine Hardy, Dallas Hardy, Alida Thessing and Laina Thessing; and her sisters, Mary Keller (Bill) of Springfield, MO. and Sue Keith (Bill) of Dowell, IL..

In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to Heartland Hospice.
