Robert Meehling Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Meehling of Belleville, Illinois, who passed away on February 22, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia Meehling; his parents, Xavier Meehling (Hilda) and Schanherr; his stepfather John "Bud" Schanherr; his stepdaughter Brenda DeHart; and his brothers-in-law, Coy Smith, Raymond Uhl and Rick Jones.
He is survived by: his children, Tim Meehling (Lisa), Barb DeHart (Paul Clendenin), Cindy Gallagher (Joe), Debbie Meehling (Tracey Smith) and Tracey Heimburger (Craig); his stepdaughters, Shari Lotz and Linda Eckels; and his sisters, Lynn Jones and Rita Uhl. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; a handful of great-great-grandchildren; and nieces.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Peter's Cathedral (200 W Harrison St, Belleville, IL 62220). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the Alzheimer's Association.
