He was predeceased by: his father James R. Nier; and his brother Michael Nier. He is survived by: his mother Sharon K. Nier (Liley); his wife Donna Renee Nier (Thuis); his sons, Robert Nier, Jr. (Jen) and Dalton Nier; and his grandchildren, Mya Nier and Cobi Nier.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the American Legion Post 1255 (201 Eiler Rd, Belleville, IL 62223).
