He was predeceased by: his former wife Veda Mae Ethington; his daughter Joyce Ann Osteen; his stepdaughter Kendall Zehnle; his parents, Richard Ethington and Alberta Ethington; and his siblings, Calvin Ethington, David Ethington, Vernon Ethington and Alice Gibson.
He is survived by: his wife Neva Lucas; his daughters, Veda "Marie" Pyle (Ralph) of Belleville, IL, Carolyn "Sue" Cross (Bill) of Belleville, IL and Angela Seger (Charles) of Caseyville, IL; his stepdaughter Debra Stewart; his grandchildren, Cathrine Hay, Richard Hay, Emily Jackson (Robert), Amanda Ouellette (Gilman Jr) and Robin Cross; his great grandchildren, Hannah, Alisha, Tyler, Ryan, Kayden, Jedidiah, Aliyah, Lucy, Hezekiah, Rosemary, Mary Gail, Veda, Neveah, Elijah, Tosh, Kaiden and Jayla; his brothers, Roy Ethington (Geraldine) and Dean Ethington; and his sisters-in-law, Carol Dean and Beryl Ethington. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Kassly Mortuary (9900 St Clair Ave, Fairview Heights, IL 62208). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
