With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Phillip Bennett of Belleville, Illinois, born in Moline, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 14, 2025 at the age of 73. He was predeceased by: his former wife Annie Bennett; his parents, Jesse Phillip (Barbara) and Bennett; and his brother Kenneth Bennett Akers. He is survived by: his wife Bette; his son David Bennett (Rebecca); his stepchildren, Katherine Kleiboeker (Max) and Allen Rotert (Pam); his grandchildren, Dylan Bennett, Devin Bennett (Rhaely Sharp), Maranda Batchelder (Camden), Kayla Bennett, Shane Bennett, Savannah Kleiboeker, William Rotert, Machenzie Kleiboeker, Emma Rotert and Skyler Kleiboeker; his siblings, Bruce Bennett (Milly) and Michele Neer (Terry); his stepsister Reesa Douglas (Kenneth); and his nieces and nephews, Bridgitte Bennett, Lindsey Roberts, Tara Kain (Josh), Joseph M. Bennett (Mary) and Keith Neer (Teresa).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Paul United Church of Christ (115 W B St, Belleville, IL 62220). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
